Why Focus on Communication?
Effective communication directly affects how you show up in your lives and in your work. It is the way in which you build and navigate healthy, strong, and trusting relationships. In business, communication directly affects how employees and management interact amongst each other and with their customers to reach organizational goals and be more aligned with core company values. Good communication plays an important role in building trust in relationships as well as setting and managing expectations to promote more effective outcomes. It helps to improve organizational practices, eliminate silos, keep employees and customers informed, and reduce errors. Effective business communication is essential for success and growth for every organization.
This program teaches four specific communication tools to be learned and practiced, over a period of four months. It consists of two (2) 60 to 90 minute online sessions per month as well as weekly homework. The program is designed to be flexible so that participants can listen to the teachings and do the homework practices around their schedule. However, commitment to the program is very important. The workshop consists of group work in large and small group settings, as well as one on one work with an assigned partner. In this way participants will learn to communicate well in all different types of relational settings.

About Shauna Lay
Shauna has been in the personal development business for 25 years. She began her studies in Mechanical Engineering, receiving her Bachelors of Science in the field in at University of California, Santa Barbara. Alongside her wellness coaching business, she worked in the corporate environment as an engineer for 10 years before pursuing her passion full time in the wellness sector. She has completed many programs, obtaining several certificates including but not limited to Yoga Alliance, Massage Therapy, Accountability Coaching, and Life Coaching. She began teaching communication 8 years ago and has since designed and developed a program specifically devoted to teaching communication in an effective and streamlined way. She is also the co-founder of Give One Dollar A Day, a non-profit devoted to easing the financial burden of families and children who are affected by illness and poverty. She believes we create lives we deeply love by connecting deeply with our lives and she helps others live this belief through 1:1 coaching, coaching programs, retreats, and yoga teachings.
